Development and implementation of a comprehensive financial debt management solution for hedge accounting and data analysis. to account for hedging and analyse data.

INITIAL SITUATION

Red eléctrica de España Group, the sole transmission company and operator of the Spanish electricity system, was looking to implement a debt management solution that would allow it to account for its hedges, analyse data and carry out the group's forecasting process and simulations.

CHALLENGE

The main challenge has been to achieve a solution that complies with SOX standards while at the same time being flexible, easy to visualise and with connection to Excel spreadsheets.

INFISA'S CONTRIBUTION

To help REE achieve its objectives, we used all our experience in financial systems management to adapt our platform to their needs and allow them to meet the requirements set by impacting on the selected KPIs. The solution presented was scaled in different business units and companies of the group.

RESULTS

The technological solution increased employee productivity by 100%, reduced errors and rework by 99% and improved the distribution and communication of the financial management with the rest of the group.

ADIF REAL STATE ASSETS AND URBAN PLANNING

Development of a web portal to automate Adif’s asset management.

INITIAL SITUATION

Adif, the railway infrastructure management company, needed to automate and digitalise the business processes of its Real State Assets and Urban Planning area.

INFISA'S CONTRIBUTION

Infisa has developed Adif's Asset Management Portal, automating and digitising its critical business processes, integrating them with other systems and enabling web and mobile management, to achieve a more in-depth economic analysis and enhance the value of its assets.

RESULTS

As a consequence of the project, it has resulted in a greater streamlining of processes (avoiding errors and rework), information integrity (unique data), faster and better informed decision making, as well as greater transparency, optimisation of resources, reduction of consumption and agile management of social assets.

REPSOL Group, a leader and benchmark in the oil and gas sector, needed a large data warehouse to analyse all the group's financial data.

CHALLENGE

The main challenge has been to achieve a robust and traceable system that would allow the analysis of all the companies in the group, consolidate them and reconcile them with accounting. A strategic project for the group.

INFISA'S CONTRIBUTION

We have helped REPSOL to achieve its objectives by connecting our platform to the financial system's transactional system and transforming the data to allow liabilities and their costs to be analysed by the desired dimensions. This system has allowed Repsol to optimise debt management, generating savings and better conditions. The solution presented was scaled up as new companies and acquired groups were incorporated into the system.

RESULTS

The implementation made it possible to analyse and rationalise debt management, improve leverage ratios and reduce the group's financial costs.

We have been collaborating with Telefónica for many years, mainly in the economic-financial area of their companies and on a global basis.

INFISA'S CONTRIBUTION

One of the main activities is focused on supporting its Working Capital management model, both in terms of strategic evaluation of improvement initiatives and in the development of the system and technological tools for its control, monitoring and simulation based on predictive models. In the same vein, Infisa provides advisory and technological support to different management processes in B2C and B2B financial matters, including the development of tools and systems for the control, economic-financial calculation and accounting recording of its operations in this area (local accounting, consolidated perimeter and application of IFRS standards).

RESULTS

The involvement of Infisa's professionals has enabled Telefónica's different companies and perimeters to achieve significant advances and qualitative and quantitative improvements, both in their working capital ratios and positions in financial statements and in the simplification and digitalisation of business processes.

PUBLIC TREASURY

Implementation of the technological solution for the management of Treasury operations and the management and administration of the Public Debt, in a real integrated context and simulation.

INITIAL SITUATION

In the Treasury function, they were looking to implement a solution that would allow them to integrate all the information relating to Treasury operations (State Treasury) with the management and administration of public debt, as well as enabling them to make progress in the analysis and development of simulation and predictive models based on macro tables.

INFISA'S CONTRIBUTION

The proposal was based on the customisation of an ad-hoc system based on Infisa's treasury and financial management experience and systems, as well as on its simulation engines. The final solution was deployed, both technically and operationally, becoming a benchmark for integrated data and information and supporting the Treasury's simulation model and forecasts.

RESULTS

The technological solution simplified tasks and processes and increased productivity levels, mitigating errors and manual tasks and improved the levels of integrity, distribution and communication of information between the different internal and external areas of responsibility.
